These are pictures from the first viewing of our new DUKW, June 26, 2018

After receiving a call from my Brother-in-law about a WWII DUKW he saw beside the road near his home in Granby, CT. ,  (let me indicate right here that I blame him for this purchase), contact was made with the owner and an appointment was completed to visit with him the next day to look at the DUKW.

An inspection was performed in very hot weather. The 1945 DUKW was in very good shape for its 73 year old age. Minor rust through and minor mechanical issues but very complete with most of the kit that a DUKW would possess.

My son Jeffrey accompanied me on this 6 hour ride. The condition and pros and cons were reviewed on the return trip and it was determined that this is something we should have. 

A deposit was presented to the current owner to reserve while we made arrangements for Landoll transport.
